When the Ballon d’Or event is held in Paris on Monday, October 28, football’s most sought-after individual awards will be given out.
With a new men’s prize winner assured to be awarded this year, the event will take place at the Theatre du Chatelet.
This is the first time in more than 20 years that eight-time winner Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, who has five Ballon d’Or trophies to his name, have not been nominated.
Some of the trophies to be awarded includes:
Ballon D’or for men (For Men best player)
Ballon D’or for women (For Women best player)
Yashin trophy (For best Goalkeeper)
Kopa Trophy (Best Under 21 player)
Men/women coach of the year trophy
Men & Women club of the year trophy
