Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, rattled by their losses in Saudi Arabia, will make their next stopover in the Hong Kong Stadium on Sunday to play a preseason club friendly against Hong Kong XI.
The World Cup winner from Argentina is expected to bring life to the Lunar New Year Cup, after the Major League Soccer team lost to Al-Hilal 4-3 and Al-Nassr 6-0, respectively.
Regarding Hong Kong XI, this will be the team’s first exhibition match since 2019 (the 1-0 victory over Auckland City). The team is composed of a number of players from the Hong Kong First Division League.
